Meet Russ

Russ Golfcaster

Russ runs the show, first tee to final putt. He announces every player onto the first tee by name — and he remembers your history, so old rivalries get called out before a ball is even struck. He calls the round live — every birdie, snowman, press, and skin — then crowns the winner on the way out. The guy you can relate to, talking just enough trash to turn an ordinary round into the most entertaining thing your foursome does all week. He's the voice of FOREPAID.

L1 · Friendly
Default. Encouragement and color commentary — no hurt feelings.

L3 · Nuclear
Full send. Sharp jabs, big celebrations. Adults only.

How it works

Three steps from the first tee to settled-up. FOREPAID handles the rest.

1

Set the table

Pick your course, your foursome, your tees, and your wagers. Nassau and Skins by default — stack Wolf, Snake, Match Play, or Stroke Play in two taps.

2

Score it, Russ calls it

Enter each hole, advance to the next — with live GPS distance to the green at your thumb. Russ calls every birdie, snowman, press, and skin live — by name, in real time, across every phone in the group.

3

Settle at the Clubhouse

After hole 18, every pair sees what they owe, to the cent. One tap opens Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle with the right amount pre-filled. FOREPAID never touches your money.

Six games. One app.

Play one. Stack them all. FOREPAID handles every press, carry, and payout. You just play.

Nassau most popular

Front 9, Back 9, Overall — three bets in one. Match or medal play per segment. Press when you're down two; FOREPAID tracks every press.

How Nassau works →
Skins

Per-hole bet, carryover on ties. Birdie multiplier, eagle multiplier. Low-or-low-par-or-better win condition. Unresolved carries refund automatically.

How Skins works →
Wolf

Rotating Wolf each hole. Take a partner or go Lone Wolf for double the stake. Best-ball side wins; ties push.

How Wolf works →
Snake

Three-putt side bet. Snake passes to whoever three-putts; whoever holds it at the end pays everyone.

How Snake works →
Match Play

Most holes won. Pairwise — every pair settles independently. All-square pushes.

How Match works →
Stroke Play

Lowest 18-hole net total wins each pair. Pairwise round-robin — each pair settles on their own.

How Stroke works →

More than a scorecard.

Under the hood, FOREPAID runs the whole round — here’s what’s in the bag.

Quick answers

The five questions everyone asks. Full Help Center →

Does FOREPAID hold my money?
No. FOREPAID is a recordkeeping and settlement coordination tool. Money moves directly between players via Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle. We never see it, hold it, or touch it. Read more about settlement →
What if not everyone in my foursome has the app?
Add them as ghost players — enter their scores yourself, send them a share link to the web scorecard after the round. They can sign up later to claim their stats. Read more about ghost players →
Can I mute Russ?
Yes — per-phone. The host controls which phones in the foursome play Russ audio. Mute mid-round from the ••• menu; the chirp still fires on every other phone. Read more about Russ controls →
How does the handicap work?
You enter your handicap once during profile setup. FOREPAID uses it to compute strokes per hole (Course Handicap = Index × Slope ÷ 113) so net scoring is fair across mixed-handicap groups. You can update it anytime. Read more about handicaps →
Is this legal? Isn't it gambling?
Friends settling friendly side bets via Venmo isn't gambling — it's recordkeeping. FOREPAID is the spreadsheet, not the bookie. We don't take a cut, hold stakes, or facilitate money movement. Same as scoring a round on paper, just better. Read the legal explainer →
